CONSTRUCTION LAW / CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS

Neil E. Land, Esq., Edward M. Foley, Esq.

The attorneys at Brutscher, Foley, Milliner, Land & Kelly, LLP have been providing high quality legal representation for matters associated with construction law and construction defects throughout Chester County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding communities, for many years.  We handle all aspects of construction law and construction defects, both on behalf of homeowners and builders/developers, including but not limited to mechanics’ lien matters (prosecution as well as defense).

If you are planning to build a new house or commercial building and the builder hands you an agreement, it is very likely that the agreement will be written with language protecting the builder.  We can negotiate with the builder to have important legal protections added into these agreements, on your behalf.   Further, if you are a builder or developer, and need assistance in drafting or negotiating a contract with a prospective buyer, we can assist.

If, after the purchase of a house or commercial building is completed, problems or defects in the house or building appear, we can represent you in negotiating with the builder, or otherwise pursuing a claim.  Please note that most legal claims in this area are subject to strict deadlines imposed by the law.  We can also assist developers and builders in defending claims brought by property owners after closing.   Our attorneys are also well versed in mechanics’ lien claim matters and litigation, on behalf of property owners, subcontractors and general contractors.

If you have any questions regarding a construction transaction or a construction defect matter, please either contact Neil E. Land, Esq. or Edward M. Foley, Esq. for assistance at 610-444-4848 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, or Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
